Corbyn supporters will stay on track despite train saga

Seat or no seat, exaggeration or fabrication, this could all turn out to be rather academic.

The truth is what you make of this story will probably largely depend on the view you've already formed of Jeremy Corbyn.

His opponents are keen to present this as a question of integrity. 'Where is the honest politics?', they ask.

But for most of those who already support Jeremy Corbyn and are planning to vote for him in the current leadership contest, his integrity is already unquestionable.

If anything, the Labour leader's fight with a big company like Virgin Trains only entrenches his image as the man who takes on the corporate machine.

So while we all pour over the CCTV images and scour the carriages for empty seats, those with the power to hire or fire the Labour leader are likely to be looking at the bigger picture.

And for most of them, that was painted long before Jeremy Corbyn boarded the 1100 to Newcastle. Their minds aren't likely to be changed.
