One twin’s mission to complete her sister’s life wishes

Melissa Tennant was born seven minutes before her twin sister Nicole in 1991 and grew up with the sort of special bond that only twins can share.

At an early age Nicole was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, a genetic condition affecting the lungs and digestive system. This led to Nicole being in and out of hospital throughout her young life.

Three years ago, at 21 years old, Nicole lost her battle with the condition leaving Melissa and the family devastated. On the eve of Nicole’s funeral Melissa discovered a list on her sister's laptop. The list detailed 57 things Nicole had wished to do in life. To honour her sister's memory Melissa embarked upon completing the list herself.

Whilst doing the list she broke a world record for longest rollerskate conga line, she climbed the steps of the Eiffel Tower and even visited a nudist beach.

The final thing on Nicole's list was to get married. Now after five years together with her fiance Martin, the biggest day of Melissa’s life completes her emotional tribute to her twin.
