In pictures: Students receive A-level results
Thousands of students around the UK collected their A-level results on Thursday.
After waiting anxiously for several weeks, teenagers from England, Wales and Northern Ireland found out what grades they were awarded.
However whilst there was joy for some, others received disappointing news.
