Amber Heard withdrawing abuse allegations as she settles divorce case with Johnny Depp for £6.1m
Amber Heard is withdrawing allegations that Johnny Depp physically abused her and the pair have settled their divorce case for £6.1 million.
The actress's lawyers are said to be filing a dismissal of her temporary restraining order against Depp on Tuesday.
Heard filed for divorce in May and days later obtained a temporary restraining order accusing the Oscar-nominated actor of hitting her during a fight in their Los Angeles apartment.
Depp denied abusing her and police said they found no evidence of a crime.
The former Hollywood couple issued a joint statement saying that they would resolve the divorce proceedings privately.
The deal between the pair was struck after a photo emerged in court documents of a finger injury suffered by Depp when he allegedly cut off the tip of his finger by accident during a fit of rage, a source said.
In court papers Heard said the 53-year-old had a "history of drug and alcohol abuse" and been "verbally and physically abusive" for the entirety of their four-year-relationship.
The 30-year-old has said that she will donate the money to charity.
A hearing on the case has been scheduled to begin on Wednesday.
