Don't compare me to Usain Bolt, says star US gymnast
Teenage athletic star Simone Biles has made it clear that she wants to be recognised as her own woman after she was crowned all-around champion in a stunning show.
The US artistic gymnast gave a beautifully assured performance in the individual final that has left many comparing her to other Olympian greats.
After claiming the gold medal, the 19-year-old made clear that she doesn't want to be compared to any other athlete.
Biles had already led already led the United States to a team victory before claiming gold in the women's individual all-around competition on Thursday.
Fellow US competitor Alexandra Raisman won silver in the event and Russia's Aliya Mustafina came in third.
Biles said she was trying not to let the success change her after her second win of the Games.
"I'm just the same Simone," she said.
"I just have two Olympic gold medals now. I feel like I did my job tonight."
