Will Young confirmed as Strictly Come Dancing contestant
Will Young had better Leave Right Now.....to rush to the dance studio after he become the second confirmed celebrity contestant on this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
The singer will be facing off against competitors including the former Labour shadow chancellor Ed Balls.
Young told fans on Twitter he was "so excited" to appear on the show.
He also revealed that he had been a fan of the Strictly for years - and made it clear that he would be aiming to win.
He said he would "try my hardest to be the best dancer possible".
Young, aged 37, first shot to fame as the winner of singing contest Pop Idol in 2002, meaning he's no stranger to clawing his way to victory in the tough format of reality television.
He has since turned his hand to acting, including taking a starring role in the film Mrs Henderson Presents, and appearances on TV drama The Mirror Crack'd From Side To Side and stage show Cabaret.
Mr Balls has already told Chris Evans on his Radio 2 breakfast show that he is "scared to death" about taking part on the show.
The third contestant confirmed to compete in the ballroom dancing competition will be revealed live on BBC Radio One's Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw on August 10.
Head judge Len Goodman has previously announced the next series of Strictly will be his last and ITV is launching a new big-budget rival to the BBC hit, which is set to launch in 2017.
