The father of murdered India Chipchase has said her death would haunt all of their family “until we take our last breaths”.

Jeremy Chipchase said: "I do not want any other father to hear that their daughter has gone missing like I did, and then to hear she has been found dead.

"No other father should have to see their daughter’s body in the mortuary and be told they are unable to touch her and kiss her one last time.

"I am sure that I and other family members will continually have moments like this of pain, anguish and emotion until we take our last breaths.

"We love her now and we will always love her.”

Mr Chipchase said he had been hit by a “wave of emotion” at a wedding as he realised he would never have the chance to walk his slain daughter down the aisle.

His 20-year-old daughter was raped and strangled by loner Edward Tenniswoodafter he found her drunk and lost outside a nightclub in Northampton.

Miss Chipchase’s mother Suzanne said the barmaid and student was a “vibrant” person who “lit up a room” and had dreamed of becoming a life-saving paramedic.

"Her death has left a huge void in all our lives and her siblings are quiet and subdued without her,” she said.

"The actions of this man means we have been condemned to a life spent grieving for a child whose potential we shall never see."
