Customers are advised to return the items and claim a refund Credit: PA

Lidl has recalled some fruit yoghurts and packets of nuts because the labels fail to mention in English that they contain milk or nuts.

Alesto Honey Peanuts with a best before date of February 2017 are being recalled "due to peanuts not being declared in English on a small number of packets".

The German company has also issued a recall for its multi-pack strawberry, raspberry, pineapple and pear flavoured Milbona fruit yoghurts.

Lidl said it was recalling Milbona Fruit Yoghurt, 8 x 125g, Use by Date 18.08.16 only due to milk not being declared in English on a small number of items.

Other Alesto and Milbona products are not affected by the recall, Lidl said.

Customers with allergies are advised to not eat the items and to return them for a full refund.
