Pokemon Go users robbed at gunpoint in London park

Three teenage Pokemon Go players had their mobile phones stolen at gunpoint in London, Scotland Yard have said.

The victims, 13, 16 and 18, were playing the popular game in Whittington Park in Holloway on Tuesday night, when three males suspects approached them.

One of the alleged robbers - also in their teens - brandished a handgun whilst the others demanded the victims hand their phones over.

The victims were "shocked" but unscathed, according to police.

The attack came 30 minutes after a 24-year-old man was also forced to hand over possessions by three men, at gunpoint, at the entrance to the same park.

He too left unharmed after being told to turn and walk away.

Scotland Yard believe the two incidents are linked, as the suspects and methods used are "identical", and they both happened in close proximity.

Investigating officer Pc Kevin Yeung said: "These were really shocking attacks on young people walking around a much-loved park.

"Robberies where a gun is shown or indicated are very rare and we are keen to apprehend those involved as soon as possible," he added.

The men were described as Asian, aged between 16-17, and around 5ft 7-8in.
