Hillary Clinton formally introduces running mate Tim Kaine

Presumptive Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has formally introduced her running mate Tim Kaine at an event in Miami as they shared a platform for the first time.

Clinton said Kaine was "everything" Donald Trump and his pick for vice president Mike Pence "are not".

She insisted that Trump has been trying to divide America but in her opinion "America's best days are still ahead".

Clinton said Kaine "shared her values" and was "capable of doing the job of vice president from day one".

She added that she "could not think of anybody better" than Kaine to have by her side on the campaign trail.

Clinton's rival for the White House, Donald Trump, took to Twitter to criticise her and her choice for VP.
