Ivanka Trump: 'My father will fight for all Americans'

The daughter of Donald Trump told the Republican National Convention that he has the ability to "see the potential in others" and will fight for all Americans if he wins the presidential campaign.

Ivanka Trump, 34, used her speech on Thursday to lobby female voters by revealing that the Trump Organization, where she has worked with her father for more than 10 years, champions equal pay and promotion for women.

"He is color blind and gender neutral," she said to applause. "When Donald Trump is in charge, all that counts is ability, excellence and effort."

She shared anecdotes about her father and said that he will "make America great again" adding that Trump will fight for those facing hardship and injustice.

"Nobody has more faith in the American people than my father," she said. "He will be your greatest, your truest and your most loyal champion."

Presenting her father, who officially accepted his nomination as Republican candidate for US president, she said: "I have loved and respected him my entire life and I could not be more proud tonight."
