Beef Ravioli and Macaroni Cheese recalled over fears they contain rubber

Tesco and Sainsbury's have recalled some of their pasta products over fears they may contain rubber.

Tesco said a "small number" of cans of beef ravioli "may potentially contain pieces of rubber" and the affected batch codes have been recalled as a "precautionary measure".

Sainsbury's has also recalled some canned beef ravioli as well as one batch of macaroni cheese.

The products were all manufactured in Belgium.

The affected tins are:

Tesco Beef Ravioli 400g

Tesco Everyday Value Beef Ravioli 400g

  • Best Before End: April 2019

  • Batch code: LA146 84824C

Sainsbury’s Beef Ravioli in Tomato Sauce 400g

  • Best before End: January 2019

  • Batch code: 121811

Sainsbury’s Macaroni Cheese 410g

  • Best before end: January 2019

  • Batch code: 125901

Both supermarkets urged people not to eat the affected products.

Customers who have purchased the above batches of beef ravioli and macaroni cheese are advised to return the product to the store where a full refund will be given. No receipt is required.
