Andy Murray bids for second Wimbledon title

Andy Murray will bid to win his second Wimbledon title later today.

The British number one faces Canadian Milos Raonic on Centre Court - the first time Murray will compete in a major final without either Roger Federer or Novak Djokovic on the other side of the net.

Murray, 29, is competing in his 11th Grand Slam final, his third at Wimbledon, and he told the BBC that reaching finals mean more to him now than they did earlier in his career.

"The tournaments start to mean more to you the older you get and you start to appreciate the history of the events probably more as you get older."

Raonic, the sixth seed, defeated Roger Federer in five sets to reach his first Grand Slam final.

The match will also see Ivan Lendl, who rejoined Murray's camp ahead of the tournament, renew rivalries with American John McEnroe, who is part of Raonic's coaching team.
