Toyota recalling 1.43 million cars worldwide for airbag inflator defect
Toyota is recalling 1.43 million cars worldwide for an airbag inflator defect.
The Japanese company is recalling hybrid Prius and Lexus CT200h models from between 2010 to 2012.
The affected cars are equipped with airbag inflators that may have a small crack that could grow over time, which could ultimately lead to the air bags inflating.
The air bag could partially inflate and the inflator could enter the vehicle interior, increasing the risk of injury to passengers, Toyota said.
