Extraordinary times for the Labour Party with MPs 'in tears'

"It was awful" was one MP's summary as he walked out of the latest Labour Party meeting.

I'm told MPs were "begging" him to resign. One MP was in tears, another had his head in his hands.

It was "extraordinary", according to one MP present.

Jeremy Corbyn was making a call for unity. There is little chance of that at the moment.

As his spokespeople were talking to the media about the meeting that had just finished, one Labour MP interrupted, saying they were giving a "distorted" account.

Then John Woodcock MP and Corbyn's spokesperson then traded accusations of "corridor coups".

These certainly are extraordinary times for the Labour Party.
