Government minister Justine Greening opens up about sexuality on day of London Pride parade
Government minister Justine Greening appears to have opened up about her sexuality, as thousands of people marched through London for the annual Pride parade.
The Putney MP and International Development Secretary posted a message to her Twitter account revealing she was in a "happy same sex relationship."
"I campaigned for Stronger In but sometimes you're better off out," she quipped.
Ms Greening, 47, follows Scottish Secretary David Mundell who came out as gay in January when he announced on his website it was time to "acknowledge in public, as well as in private, who I am".
David Cameron said it was "great news", while the leader of the Scottish Conservatives Ruth Davidson, the first openly gay head of a major political party in the UK, tweeted: "Glad to hear you're happy & settled. R x"
Chancellor George Osborne tweeted that it was the "best news in the last 48 hours". Mr Osborne had campaigned for Britain to remain in the EU.
