Ofcom investigates after Harvey Price swears on Loose Women

Loose women is to be investigated by Ofcom after the disabled son of Katie Price said 'c***' on a live lunchtime programme**.

Price's son Harvey, who is visually impaired, autistic and suffers from ADHD and Prader-Willi syndrome, joined her on the ITV show last month for a segment to discuss internet trolls.

The 14-year-old boy has frequently been targetted online by trolls mocking him for his disabilities.

On the programme, Price, 38, asked him: "If someone says something horrible to Harvey, what does Harvey say?"

Harvey responded: "Hello, c***."

Panellist Andrea McLean apologised numerous times, adding before the show ended: "We have to apologise, obviously, for the language that you heard a little bit earlier on."

The media watchdog confirmed it had received 10 complaints following the May 17 episode.

An Ofcom spokesman said: "Ofcom is investigating this programme which included the most offensive language before the watershed."

During the episode, Price said she wanted Harvey to appear on the programme live, adding: "I want people to see what he's like, not manufacture and edit what he's like."

Ofcom said they had received sufficient assurances from ITV that the broadcaster had ensured due care of Harvey, and would not be pursuing any potential issues in this regard.
