Man shot dead while streaming live to Facebook

A 28-year-old man has been shot and killed while livestreaming a video of himself from his phone to Facebook.

Antonio Perkins, who lives in Chicago, was shot in the head and neck in the west side of the city on Thursday night.

In the video, a man believed to be Mr Perkins can be seen talking with friends, before shots ring out and the phone drops to the ground.

Bystanders can be heard screaming and calling for help.

Mr Perkins died a short while later in hospital. He is believed to have worked in McDonald's and have three young children.

Facebook has not removed the video, but has added a graphic content notice to warn people.

This is the second such incident in three months in the city, and arrests have not yet been made in either case.
