Meat Loaf 'collapses on stage' during show in Canada
Legendary rock singer Meat Loaf has reportedly collapsed on stage during a performance in western Canada.
Video footage from a concert in Edmonton, Alberta, shared on social media shows the 68-year-old falling to the stage floor during the show on Thursday evening.
Police in Edmonton confirmed to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation that they had responded to a medical emergency at the venue.
His condition is not yet clear.
Meat Loaf had appeared to be struggling earlier in the performance, according to concertgoer Mikey McBryan.
He said: "It was him forgetting words, he wasn't on cue, but it was forgivable. We're all loving it and going crazy, and then it just took a turn for the worst."
The singer has collapsed on stage before.
In 2011, medics rushed to his aid in Pittsburgh but he got up and finished the show. In 2003, he collapsed at Wembley Arena in London and was admitted to hospital.
Meat Loaf had said previously that he suffers from asthma and from a medical condition which causes an irregular heartbeat.
