Gordon Ramsay thanks fans for support after revealing his wife had a miscarriage
Gordon Ramsay has thanked well-wishers for their support after revealing his wife had a miscarriage of their unborn child.
In a statement posted on his Facebook page, the TV chef said his family is healing in the aftermath of the "devastating" loss, which occurred after five months of pregnancy.
"I’d especially like to send a big thank you to the amazing team at Portland Hospital for everything they’ve done," Ramsay added.
The chef, 49, and his wife Tana, 41, had been expecting their fifth child, a baby boy.
Fans shared their own miscarriage stories and posted messages of support on social media after the announcement.
The couple announced they were expecting another baby during an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden in May.
They have been married since 1996 and are already parents to 18-year-old Megan, twins Holly and Jack, 16, and Matilda, 14.
