Cowboy lassos alleged bike thief in supermarket car park

A cowboy chased a suspected bike thief and lasso'd him to the ground in a supermarket car park.

Robert Borba, a champion bull rider, was at the Wall Mart store in Oregon when he heard a woman yell out that someone had stolen her bicycle from a rack.

"I roped him and the rope went down around his feet and I just rode off like I would if I roped a cow or something," Borba told NBC News.

Witness Rob Roque said: "He did it so well I thought, man, he must be in a rodeo or something. It was perfect."

The suspect, Victorino Arellano-Sanchez, was charged with theft and taken to Jackson County Jail, said Officer Chris Adams of the Eagle Point Police Department.
