Lennox Lewis: Muhammad Ali was an inspiration and gave me hope

British heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis will be among the pallbearers at Muhammad Ali's funeral in Louisville, Kentucky later today.

Lewis has spoken to ITV News about what Ali meant to him especially when he was growing up and building his career as a boxer.

He said Ali "touched so many people around the world" beyond the boxing ring and "showed that you can be anything you want to be, if you put your mind to it".

Lewis added: "He gave me confidence, he gave me hope and he showed me that you don't have to be fearful of speaking the truth".

Reflecting on his role as pallbearer at Ali's funeral he said "I'll be thinking about him, and his life and all the things that he's done and feeling happy that we're finally bringing him to his resting ground".
