Argos has overcharged thousands of its store card customers by £30 million
Argos says it has overcharged thousands of its store card customers.
The retailer says a "systems error" led to it taking around thirty million pounds too much in arrears fees.
Argos will write to affected customers starting next month.
Anyone who has been charged late payment fees on their Argos card will be anxious to know whether they have been over charged - but the company still isn't giving out much detail.
The company isn't saying how many people overpaid - only that it is less than 10% of customers.
The retailer wont say how many customers are now owed money or what the period of over charging was - nor has it said what an average payout will be.
