Another mild, muggy night

After torrential downpours exploded across the south-east, Midlands and north-west earlier, a drier night ahead.

Another mild, muggy night for many of us - the warm air concentrated across the south and west but feeling less stuffy further east so a more comfortable nights sleep in these areas.

Tomorrow a mild, muggy start again with cloud cover making for a disappointingly grey start for some. Irish Sea and Channel coasts will be prone to misty low cloud and fog at first. As the sunshine gets to work - cheering up but downpours will get going across the north and west - often lively with thunder. The south and east will escape with a drier day.

In the strong hot sunshine highs of 25C or so but even with cloud and rain it'll remain warm and close with humid air. Eastern coasts will feel a little fresher.
