Boris Johnson and Nicola Sturgeon among leading politicians to appear on television EU debate
Boris Johnson and Nicola Sturgeon are among the leading politicians set to debate whether Britain should remain in the EU in a major live television debate on ITV on Thursday.
The former London mayor will make the case for Brexit along with his Vote Leave colleagues Andrea Leadsom and Gisela Stuart in a two-hour special.
They will be opposed by Ms Sturgeon as well as Angela Eagle and Amber Rudd, both of whom are representing Britain Stronger In Europe.
The TV event is one of number of major debates ahead of the June 23 referendum. David Cameron is also set to take on leading Eurosceptic Nigel Farage on ITV tomorrow.
Each politician will make opening statements before a live debate moderated by ITV news presenter Julie Etchingham. They will also take questions from members of the public in the audience.
This two-hour debate is the second of ITV's major live event European Referendum programmes, and will be broadcast live from a London location.
The ITV Referendum Debate debate will be screened on June 9th between between 8-10pm.
