Jose Mourinho agrees deal to take charge at Manchester United
Jose Mourinho has agreed a deal to become the new manager of Manchester United, Press Association Sport understands.
Mourinho's agent, Jorge Mendes, and United officials have been involved in talks since Louis Van Gaal's turbulent two-year stay was ended on Monday.
A deal is now believed to have been reached with official confirmation likely on Friday.
Negotiations had been delayed due to discussions over Mourinho's image rights, which his former club Chelsea still own.
The 53-year-old has been out of work since being sacked by Chelsea in December after a terrible start to the season.
He was quickly linked with the United job as the pressure mounted on Van Gaal.
