After disappointingly cloud, cold conditions today - a little brighter with sunshine lifting temperatures in the next couple of days.

Tonight more cloud and rain will affect northern England, north Wales and Northern Ireland - lasting well into tomorrow before gradually easing.

Elsewhere it'll be brighter with a little more sunshine likely compared to today but showers and longer downpours will crop up across southern counties.

Temperatures a little up on today - not difficult! Staying on the much cooler side for late May where it's grey and rainy. Where's there's sunshine, highs of 18C in Scotland and 21C in southern England.
