Sheridan Smith 'rushed to hospital' after collapse
Actress Sheridan Smith was rushed to hospital by ambulance after collapsing at a spa retreat, according to a newspaper.
Emergency services were called to Champneys Health Spa after the star - on stress leave having temporarily pulled out of West End show Funny Girl - - was taken ill, the Sun reported.
Two ambulances attended and took the 34-year-old to the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford, it was reported.
She was later released and said to have made a full recovery.
Earlier this month, Smith pulled out of a performance of Funny Girl for the fourth time.
A source was reported as saying: A source said: “Sheridan has been at Champneys to undergo total rest while she’s been recuperating during her time off from Funny Girl.
“She has been in a better place and things have been looking up, but on Sunday there was a medical emergency and ambulances were called.
“But she is doing much better and it has nothing to do with stress or her state of mind".
