Father who 'forgot' daughter in car charged with murder
A father whose eight month-old daughter died after allegedly being left in an overheated car has been charged with murder.
Joshua Lewis Blunt is accused of forgetting his daughter, Shania Rihanna Caradine, in a car in a parking bay near to a restaurant where he worked in Grenada, Mississippi.
Blunt and his colleagues discovered his daughter some time later, police said.
He has now been charged with second-degree murder.
The eight-month-old is the second child this month to die after being left in a car in Mississippi, according to The Associated Press.
A two-year-old in Madison County died after his mother allegedly forgot him in the car, although she has not been charged.
