Tom Hiddleston sparks 007 speculation after 'meeting James Bond film bosses'
Actor Tom Hiddleston has sparked further speculation that he could be the next James Bond after he was reportedly spotted meeting the film franchise's producer and director.
The Night Manager star was seen with Barbara Broccoli and Sam Mendes at the Soho House members' club, according to The Mirror.
The meeting comes a week after Hiddleston said on The Graham Norton's show that nobody had spoken to him about the opportunity to replace Daniel Craig in the iconic role.
"The position isn't vacant as far as I'm aware - no-one has talked to me about it," he said.
"I think the rumours have come about because in The Night Manager I play a spy and people have made the link."
A spokesman for Hiddleston confirmed to The Mirror that the actor was at Soho House, but denied he had met Broccoli or Mendes, adding: "He was there with one of his non-industry friends."
Daniel Craig took over the role of 007 in Casino Royale in 2005, and has made four Bond films.
He sparked rumours that his latest film Spectre could be his last when he joked in a Time Out interview that he would rather "slash my wrists" than make a fifth Bond movie.
"I'm over it at the moment," he said. "We're done. All I want to do is move on."
