Eight policemen dead after armed attack on patrol car

Eight policemen were killed in an armed attack on a police car in Egypt on Sunday.

The attack, which happened on the outskirts of Cairo, claimed the life of an officer, state television reported.

Unidentified gunman carried out the attack which took place in Helwan, to the south of Cairo, the Egyptian Interior Ministry said.
