David Walliams says letters from young fans of his children's books have been stolen
Letters written to comedian David Walliams by young fans of his children's books have been stolen.
The Britain's Got Talent judge told his 1.6 million Twitter followers that a "large box of letters from children" was among post that had been stolen.
He apologised to his fans who have not received a reply adding that he tries to reply to everyone.
Walliams has written six books for children including the with Demon Dentist, Ratburger and Gangsta Granny which all became best-sellers.
His seventh book is due to be released in November, according to HarperCollins.
A police spokesperson said that discarded items of post had been reported to them by a member of the public. No arrests have been made.
