A eurosceptic photographer said he was "livid" after noticing one of his photos had been used by the Government - inside the pro-EU leaflet.

Aerial photographer Mike Page, 76, who plans to vote Brexit, took a snap of the Port of Felixstowe, Suffolk, for use on the company's website.

But he was "livid" upon discovering the bird's-eye view picture had been passed on to the Government to feature in the tax payer-funded leaflet setting out the supposed benefits of staying in the EU.

Approximately £6.4 million has been spent on producing and distributing the leaflets to 27 million homes across the UK.

Mr Page, from Norfolk, has now accepted a charity donation from the port and said he would not be taking the matter further.

Mr Page does not benefit commercially from his photography, instead requesting firms donate money to charity in exchange for their use.

A Port of Felixstowe spokesman said the photo had been passed on by to the Government, but that this was a mistake which had now been resolved.
