One lucky child in China suffered only minor injuries after falling out the back door of a moving van - only to be run over by a car.

CCTV shows the rear door of the minivan slowly opening, at which point the child falls out onto the road as the vehicle pulls away from an intersection.

Before the child can stand up, the car behind pulls forward and over the child.

The accident happened in March in Zhaotong City, southwest China.

The child was rushed to hospital by family members and was treated for minor injuries.
