Janet Jackson has announced she is delaying her world tour - to start a family.

The singer, sister of the late Michael, announced on Facebook that she would be postponing the second leg of "Unbreakable".

With a broad smile on her face, the 49-year-old couldn't hide her happiness as she told of the couple's plans to conceive.

In a message to her fans, she said: "Please, if you could try and understand that it's important I do this now. I have to rest up - doctor's orders".

She added: "I have not forgotten about you and I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can".

This is the second time Jackson has delayed Unbreakable, having been forced to postpone in December in order to undergo surgery.

Her latest news was greeted by many supporting fans who wished her well.
