Boy, eight, killed in lorry crash
An eight-year-old boy has died in a crash involving a car and a lorry.
The young victim was a passenger in a Ford Focus when the collision happened on the A92, north of the Redhouse roundabout, in Kirkcaldy, Fife just before 3pm on Monday.
The 36-year-old female driver was rushed to hospital, where her condition is described as critical.
Another passenger, a nine-year-old boy, also suffered serious facial injuries.
The driver of the lorry and his passenger were unharmed in the crash, which forced the closure of the road for seven hours.
