Disneyland Paris worker found dead in themes park's haunted house ride
A man has been found dead inside Disneyland Paris' haunted house ride, police have confirmed.
Investigations are underway after a male employee was found by his colleagues in the Phantom Manor attraction on Saturday morning, before the park opened to the public.
The 45-year-old is believed to have died of electrocution while carrying out work on lighting, Le Parisien reported.
The man has not been identified, but a union representative confirmed that he was a father who had worked at the park for 14 years.
Patrick Maldidier said the man was hugely popular with colleagues and was "always smiling."
Disneyland management is "deeply saddened" by the man’s death, and sent commiserations to his "family and relatives," a spokesperson said.
The ride will remain closed until at least Wednesday.
