Paul Daniels laid to rest in intimate funeral service
Paul Daniels was laid to rest in an intimate funeral service yesterday.
The magician died of cancer two weeks ago after being diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour.
The funeral took place near his Berkshire home.
His wife Debbie McGee tweeted: "A huge thank you for all the wonderful messages.
"It was a very special day which I got through thanks to family and friends."
A note on top of the ivory coffin simply read: "Love you always, Debbie xxx."
The service was attended by around 200 mourners including Gloria Hunniford and Bonnie Langford.
Two of Daniels' favourite songs Mr Bojangles and Disney's Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah were also played during the service.
