American survivor of Brussels airport bombing recounts the deadly attack from his hospital bed

An American survivor of the Belgium airport attack has recounted the deadly terror attack from his hospital bed.

Mason Wells, 19, was injured alongside colleagues when two bombs exploded at Zaventem airport on Tuesday morning - suffering burns.

The Mormon missionary, from Utah, narrowly escaped harm at the Boston marathon bombing in 2013, where his mother was taking part in the race.

He was also in Paris last November when the atrocities took place, but in another part of the city.

Mr Wells is expected to make a full recovery. The attack left him with surgery scar, a severed Achilles tendon, a head gash, shrapnel injuries and severe burns.

He recounted the moment the bomb went off in the airport in Belgium.
