Zoella sparks meme after underwear picture row

Zoella's fans have taken up a social media crusade in support of the vlogger after she was criticised for posting a picture of herself in her underwear.

The social media star, whose real name is Zoe Suggs, inadvertently sparked a meme after she sent a picture to her followers on Snapchat showing herself in bed and showing a flash of her underwear.

After the Sun newspaper suggested she was revealing a more "risque" side, her army of fans hit back on Twitter with increasingly surreal responses under the hashtag #westandwithZoe.

Even her boyfriend and fellow vlogger Alfie Deyes joined in the fun, posting a picture of himself wearing Zoella's pants in response.

Zoella laughed off the row, saying of Deyes' tweet "When your boyfriend rocks your pants better than you do."

She also thanked her followers for their support and said women should not be "shamed" for having body confidence.
