Adele announced as Glastonbury headliner
Multi-award winning singer Adele has been announced as one of this year's Glastonbury Festival headliners after she accidentally let slip to fans that she would be playing Worthy Farm's famous Pyramid stage.
The pop star, who took home four trophies at the Brit Awards last month, will headline on Saturday night and will be joining rock bands Muse and Coldplay as one of the festival's top acts.
Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis confirmed the announcement via Twitter after Adele broke the news to fans while performing live on stage at London's O2 arena.
It will be the first time that 27-year-old Adele has played at the famous music festival.
