Fans of rock band Radiohead have been left angry and disappointed after they struggled to buy tickets for the group's first UK gigs in four years.

Tickets for the three London dates went on sale on this morning at 9am but sold out within minutes.

Fan took to social media to complain about the small size of venue the band had chosen, a confusing buying system on Ticketmaster and being pushed back thousands of places in the queue.

Lead singer Thom Yorke responded to thousands of disappointed fans with a Tweet saying: "I'm as f***** off as you are. And am only human."

Most fans were fuming about the choice of Camden's Roundhouse as a venue which only has a 3,300-standing capacity.

But some were also slowed down by the Ticketmaster site that uses picture tests to prove people are not a "bot".

Tickets for May 26,27, and 28 were originally selling from £65, but are now available on resale website viagogo for up to £1,400, with one ticket already sold for £961.99.

With tickets for the band's Mexico City gig costing from 676.50 pesos or £27 and return flights to the city from London Gatwick for about £730, it is cheaper to fly to Mexico to catch the band than buy a ticket from a tout.
