LA Law actor Larry Drake dies aged 66

American actor Larry Drake has died aged 66.

Drake, who is best known for his portrayal of mentally challenged character Benny Stulwicz in "LA Law" as well as the 90's movie "Darkman", had a more than 40 year career that spanned TV, film and stage and was described by friends as "one of a kind".

The back-to-back Emmy Award winner Drake was reportedly found dead in his Los Angeles home on Thursday by a friend.

The cause of death is not yet known.
