Prince William: Work-shy accusations 'part of the job'
Prince William has brushed aside criticisms of his workload, telling ITV News' Mark Austin that it is "part of the job".
With headlines like "Wills is throne idle", some newspapers have criticised the Duke of Cambridge for the number of royal engagements and shifts at the East Anglian Air Ambulance he has carried out this year.
The criticism increased when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released photographs of their trip to the French Alps - their first family holiday since Princess Charlotte was born.
But William said his work campaigning for endangered species takes "a lot" of time and planning and he did not want to look back with regret at what he could have achieved when he reached the age of 50.
"I didn’t want to get to 45 or 50 and sit back and say I could have said something about that issue but I didn’t because I worried about what people thought or what people said," he said.
