Young Ellie Goulding fan left starry eyed after her hero stops to watch her sing in city centre

A young busker was left starry eyed after Ellie Goulding stopped to say hello as the youngster sang one of her hits in a city centre.

The schoolgirl, whose identity is not known, was singing the star's hit On My Mind when Ellie spotted her in Sheffield city centre.

The Love Me Like You Do songstress was captured smiling and nodding her head to the music as the young girl sings.

Afterwards she chatted to her young fan, who was being watched by her father, before giving her a hug.

Ellie later tweeted a short video of herself with the young singer, saying: "We heard this little angel singing On My Mind."
