Man kidnaps own grandmother and takes her on terrifying 12 hour knifepoint road trip
A 22-year-old who kidnapped his own grandmother and forced her to take him on a 12-hour road trip through the night, has been arrested.
Suspected meth addict Robert White put his 87-year-old relative through the shocking ordeal after jumping in her car, placing a knife to his own throat, and threatening to hurt himself if she did not drive him around.
It came after the pensioner went to tell her grandson that the money she had been using to pay for him to stay at an Oregon hotel had run out and he needed to leave.
White, who reportedly smoked methamphetamine throughout the trip and made claims that the police had been following him for the past nine months, was described by officers as "out of control".
He has been charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, kidnapping, menacing, criminal mischief and violating a protective order.
