Magician Dynamo reveals secrets behind illusion shots

Magician Dynamo has revealed how he used a smartphone to create a series of amazing photographs which show him appearing to walk out of a wall of water, floating in thin air and posing a giant in a busy London street.

Using a mixture of 'forced perspective' techniques, a handful of simple, easily-made props and a camera phone, Dynamo says anyone can create their own reality-defying visuals.

The illusionist - originally from Bradford - said: "I have always been fascinated by the fact that a simple twist on perspective can completely affect our perception of an image."

The series of photos make the subject appear to perform a series of magical acts - but actually the shots play with perspective and perception to create optical illusions.
