People smugglers still helping migrants cross EU borders
Video report by ITV News Senior International Correspondent John Irvine.
As EU leaders in Turkey work on a solution to the migrant crisis smugglers are continuing to help people travel across the border.
This morning the remnants of a boat that made the treacherous crossing from Turkey to Greece crammed with migrants, washed up on the island of Lesbos.
The trade of people smuggling across the border was estimated to have been worth €2bn last year and many fear new attempts will not deter smugglers.
Even the deployment today of a Nato warship to monitor the situation is not guaranteed to improve the situation.
