Sir Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish take gold in world championship Madison

The pair added to the British gold haul at the Cycling World Championships.

Sir Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish have won gold in the non-Olympic Madison on the final day of the Track Cycling World Championships in London.

The pair added Great Britain's fifth gold medal of the competition, after Laura Trott won the women's Omnium.

Wiggins took off his helmet to salute the crowd in celebration and Cavendish raised his arms aloft as 'the boys are back in town' was played at the velodrome.

The title was first taken by the duo in 2008 in Manchester. Cavendish now has three world titles in the discipline.
