A Ryanair plane was forced to make an unscheduled landing in Berlin after a group of British men became unruly during the flight.

Newspaper reports in Germany said the flight from London to Bratislava in Slovakia was forced to land in the German capital to eject a stag party.

Six members of the group were said to have become unruly, forcing the pilot to make an unscheduled stop and remove the passengers concerned from the flight.

German newspaper Bild said the men became aggressive when they were refused alcohol.

Local police said the drunken Britons, aged 25 to 28 and from Southampton, were met by officers on landing at Schoenefeld airport.

They now each face fines of up to 25,000 euros (£19,700) and civil claims from the airline.
